Der
Der is a stage name of sound artist Herman Tascioglu who uses art and music as complementary tools to create views of creative processes.
Herman Tascioglu was born in İstanbul. He took a stand for painting at times, and other times poetry, music, and literature. He was a part of the post punk bands called 'Hyper Shaman' in 1998 and 'Olu Ozallar' [Dead Ozals] in 2001. Tascioglu, who has been carrying out his audio activities since 2003 under the title 'Der,' attracted the attention of Alan Wilder of Depeche Mode and Recoil with his project ‘Der,’ which in his own words is an ‘open work.’
