Alex (Skopje Project) is from Russia/Israel and his musical preferences and directions are scattered in between noise experiments, drone and field recordings, experimental electronica. He has only recently started formulating and recording musical pieces after being fond for years of collages from field recordings and noise experiments.
His debut on Mahorka, "Inside the Whale" is a two-part dark drone improvisation inspired by the story of Jonah and the whale, a record of its times (the music happened in Sept-Nov 2020), a record about isolation, loneliness and fear, about changing ways, about what it is like to be fish bait locked in the space of our homes.
