The Moodygoer Remixes Part II Cover

With tracks only made of single synth improvisations, sampled movie ambiances and bits of ethereal guitars, "The Moodygoer" seemed like the ideal material for Konejo to set up a remix project. Inviting musician friends through social networks, the response was unexpectedly overwhelming, with no less than 23 artists offering their renditions of different tracks from the album. On "The Moodygoer Remixes Part II" we have 12 producers from several countries, but more prominently from France this time, with several of them having released on Konejo's IRM Netlabel (Valgidrà, Some Pretend to Whisper, Oizak, Ed End aka Invisible Illusion...) and also notably including Mahorka's Tomoroh Hidari. While exploring more beat-based sonic territories from electronics and industrial music to instrumental hip-hop (still balanced with beautiful ambient renditions), this second part manages to convey the same cinematographic atmosphere as the original album, finding at the same time a new and fresh dynamic.
