Though We Meet But Once Cover

Sai’s latest and quite possibly - final album, "Though We Meet But Once", is a mesmerizing plunge into the uncharted depths of experimental ambient heavy guitar music. A masterclass in contrast and complexity, the record fuses monolithic, down-tuned guitars with sprawling ambient textures, navigating a sonic terrain that’s as pummelling as it is transcendent - a final recollection of all previous works and releases throughout the years.

Each track unfolds like a shifting landscape - built on polymetric foundations that disorient and hypnotize. Time signatures collide and realign with fluidity, pulling the listener into a rhythmic undertow that never settles, always evolves. Yet, amidst the technical intricacy, there’s a raw emotional thread: a sense of existential weight, of fleeting connections and irreversible change.

The ambient elements breathe between the cracks of growling distortion - ghostly synths, reverb-soaked feedback, and field recordings stretch time and space, offering moments of reflection before the next tectonic riff lands. Sai isn’t interested in easy genre boundaries; "Though We Meet But Once" is equally a work of heavy catharsis and meditative dissolution.

For fans of forward-thinking heaviness - those drawn to the fringes of metal, post-rock, and ambient noise - Sai has delivered something rare: an album that defies repetition, rewards deep listening, and lingers long after the final note fades.
