Two musical forces from across Europe have joined together in a dream-come-true collaboration. The partnership between Grosso Gadgetto and Brainquake, two artists known for their boundary-pushing work in electronic and experimental music, explores the boundaries of sound and imagination through innovative and provocative music. What started as a simple collaboration through the genre-transcending label Mahorka, quickly blossomed into a creative endeavour that has produced two distinct, yet thematically connected albums - "Distorted Planet" and "Dehumanize the World", each with its own unique take on global and cosmic themes. The result is nothing short of transformative, amazing confirmation that often the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, a testament to the power of creative synergy, with each artist bringing their own unique perspective and style to the table. The albums also feature stunning artwork by Sick Ced (Cedry Krueger), whose visual contributions complement the otherworldly and deeply introspective themes of the music. These two very different but deeply connected albums invite listeners to explore the alien, the cosmic, and the human in new and profound ways.

Grosso Gadgetto (France) is the alias of Christian Gonzalez, an electronic music producer known for his intricate blend of ambient, hip-hop, industrial and experimental sounds. With a background rooted in both traditional and modern electronic music, Gonzalez has carved out a niche for himself by creating immersive sonic landscapes that challenge the listener's perception of time and space. His work is marked by a deep sensitivity to sound texture, often using layered synths, field recordings, and organic instruments to create evocative atmospheres. Over the years, Grosso Gadgetto has gained recognition for his contributions to the underground electronic music scene and his ability to cross genre boundaries with ease.

Brainquake (Belgium), the project of Marc Ceulemans, is an exploration of experimental sound design, blending electronic music with avant-garde influences. His works often delve into the surreal and the bizarre, combining intricate rhythms, atmospheric textures, and dystopian themes. His music challenges listeners to step outside conventional musical structures and engage with sound as both an art form and a medium for storytelling. Brainquake's style is eclectic, with elements ranging from ambient and techno to noise and industrial, but always maintaining a focus on creating an immersive, boundary-pushing experience.

Together, Grosso Gadgetto and Brainquake have created a partnership that blends their diverse backgrounds and artistic approaches into something truly unique.

"Distorted Planet", their debut release together, is a dark, emotional journey through a twisted world. This first album touches on dark, emotional landscapes with a 90's ambient techno influence, lacing the tracks with eerie, unsettling tones that evoke a sense of discomfort and contemplation. While the themes could have lent themselves to harsh, confrontational music, the duo instead layers the album with complex textures that evoke introspection, tension, and the emotional weight of living in a world that seems increasingly alien to itself.

The album delves into the strange nature of our modern existence, where the lines between reality and distortion blur. From the dissonant resonance of "The Builders" to the eerie calm of "Smoke Angels (Nature’s Revenge)", each track is a reflection on the human experience in an unstable, shifting world. The mood of "Distorted Planet" is captured perfectly in the track titles themselves: "Teethgrinder", "Stretched Faces", and "Sub Urbanism" all suggest a world where beauty, humanity, and nature are twisted, distorted, and often fragmented.

Their second album together, "Dehumanize The World", will come out later in 2025.
