Wave Resistance marks the 10-year anniversary of the project with the release of ø, the final chapter in the planetary series that began with White Point, issued on CRL Studios back in June 2015.

ø is a story of rebirth — emerging from delocalized quantum uncertainty, taking form and edges, and undergoing recombination into the mythic phoenix, a symbol of eternal renewal and immortality. This transformation lies at the heart of the album, which is dedicated to Saturn — the ancient symbol of time and cycles. The phoenix, once fully formed, is combusted, consumed by fire, and reduced to ashes, only to be reborn once again in an endless loop of transformation.

The album opens with Delocalized and Edges, immersing the listener in a grey area of experimental techno, enveloped in ambient haze and enigmatic soundscapes. This gives way to Recombination — a harsher, more brutal post-industrial work with broken rhythms and nods to classic idm.

The centerpiece, Phöenix, builds on these rhythmic frameworks with a warped, wonky progression, culminating in a sweeping cyberpunk atmosphere. Ambient textures and a deconstructed bassline lift the listener into the phoenix’s flight — only to leap into the unknown with Fragmentation, where illbient elements intertwine with broken dub-influenced industrial beats.

The album reaches its culmination with Combustion, a blast of destruction and post-industrial rhythmic chaos, before concluding with Plunge, a final idm and glitch-inspired piece that deconstructs the entire release — evoking the descent of the Cassini spacecraft, which burned up in Saturn’s atmosphere.

ø is dedicated to Andreas Berg and Stanislaw Yatzick, two friends of the project who passed away last year.

ø was mastered by Anatoly 'Tokee' Grinberg.
